Screenio is designed to let you record your screen, microphone, and webcam directly in your browser. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the service.

Your recordings

Screenio currently processes recordings locally on your device. Recorded video and audio are not uploaded to or stored on Screenio servers. The finished recording is made available to you through a temporary local browser URL so that you can preview and download it.

Browser permissions

Your browser controls access to screen sharing, microphone, webcam, and shared audio. Screenio can use these sources only after you grant the relevant permission. You can stop screen sharing or revoke permissions through your browser or operating-system settings.

Website and infrastructure data

Like most websites, the hosting and network providers used to deliver Screenio may process standard technical information, including IP address, request time, requested page, browser headers, and security-related information. This data may be used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Cookies, advertising, and analytics

The Screenio recorder does not require an account and does not use application cookies to create or store recordings. Screenio uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and feature usage, and Google AdSense to support the service.

Google Analytics may process information such as the page viewed, referral source, browser and device details, approximate location, and interactions with the recorder. Screenio may record product events such as starting, completing, or downloading a recording. The contents of your screen recording, microphone audio, webcam video, and downloaded file are not sent to Google Analytics or Google AdSense by the Screenio application.

Google Consent Mode is configured with optional analytics and advertising storage denied until you make a choice. If you accept optional storage, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information, and similar technologies for measurement, ad delivery, frequency limiting, and—where enabled—personalization. If you reject optional storage, those storage permissions remain denied; Google tags may still receive limited consent-aware technical signals without setting optional cookies.

You can accept, reject, or change your choice through the Privacy choices control shown on the site. You can also clear the site's stored data in your browser. Google provides a browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics and publishes information about how it uses data on sites that use its services.

Third-party infrastructure

Screenio may use infrastructure providers, including DNS, content-delivery, security, and hosting services. Those providers may process limited connection information according to their own privacy terms. They do not receive your locally created recording from the Screenio application.

Data retention

Screenio does not retain recordings because they are not uploaded. Infrastructure logs, when produced by hosting or security systems, may be retained for a limited period for reliability and security purposes.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Screenio adds accounts, cloud storage, payments, analytics, or other hosted functionality. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
