Screenio

Terms of Use

These terms apply when you access or use Screenio. By using the service, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.

The service

Screenio provides a browser-based tool for recording a screen, microphone, webcam, and supported shared audio. The current version creates recordings locally in the browser and allows the user to download the resulting file.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for:

Prohibited use

You may not use Screenio to violate privacy, intellectual-property, communications, surveillance, or other applicable laws; to distribute malware; to interfere with the service; or to attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

No guarantee of uninterrupted recording

Recording depends on browser APIs, permissions, available storage, memory, processing capacity, operating-system behavior, and third-party infrastructure. Screenio does not guarantee that every recording will start, continue, finalize, or use a particular media format. You should test the service before relying on it for important recordings.

Availability and changes

Screenio may be changed, suspended, or discontinued. Features may be added or removed, and future hosted features may be subject to separate plans, limits, or terms.

Open-source software

The Screenio source code is made available under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The license governs your rights to copy, modify, and distribute the source code. These website terms govern use of the hosted service.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Screenio is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or preservation of recordings.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Screenio and its operator will not be liable for lost recordings, lost data, device issues, business interruption, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Screenio develops into a hosted micro-SaaS product. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
