Screen recording that stays simple

Screenio is a privacy-first online screen recorder for capturing a screen, microphone and webcam without installing additional software.

Why Screenio exists

Many recording tools require a desktop application, an account or an upload before a user can retrieve the video. Screenio focuses on the opposite experience: open the page, grant the permissions you choose, record and download the result.

Local processing

The current Screenio recorder creates the media file inside the browser. Video and audio are not uploaded to Screenio servers. When recording ends, the browser creates a temporary local URL used for preview and download.

What you can record

• A browser tab, application window or full display.
• Microphone narration.
• A webcam overlay with microphone audio.
• Shared tab or system audio when the selected browser and capture source support it.

Micro-SaaS direction

The local recorder will remain the foundation of Screenio. Optional hosted features may be added later, such as secure sharing, editing, cloud storage and team workspaces. Any feature that uploads a recording should be clearly optional and transparent.
